The future depends onwhat you do in the present

Spring is here! Most of us will be looking around the house inside and out to see what needs to be worked on after a long Winter. We look forward to the warmer weather. Winter is the season of dormancy. Sometimes in life we allow our relationships to become dormant. Things that are locked up and not touched become stale. If you find your relationship in a place of dormancy or it just doesn't have the passion that it once had maybe now is the time to work through some issues. Even if you don't think there are serious issues we can all use a new coat of paint from time to time.  Relationships require the same amount of attention as you put into Spring cleaning. You know it has to be done even on the days that you may not feel energetic. Spring forward in your relationship just as we do without hesitation each Spring.

Some people experienced depression while we were in the Winter season and may not be looking forward to the Spring as others around them might be. They can't understand the excitement about the sights and sounds of Spring. They simply want to continue to hibernate and let the world pass them by. This impacts their relationships with others (i.e. spouse, children). This doesn't have to be the case. Just as you are checking for those things that need fixing around the house do some self-reflecting about your attitude and interactions with others. If you think you can feel better about your life and interact with others differently let me help you accomplish that goal. If your relationships need a tune up this is a great time to make that happen. Instead of sitting around the house wondering what to do to stay connected to others take the time to work on those issues that you muddle through.  Why not include a task on your list that is focused on making the emotional changes that are necessary to build strong relationships or repair those that are important to you. This can include your relationship with your spouse, children, siblings and parents. Loosing weight can be compared to letting go of the hurts that we have caused others or that they have caused us. Isn't it time to stop making others or yourself pay. Let's jump into action and prepare for the journey.

As a solution-focused therapist, my goal is to help you uncover your true potential and lead a life that is worth celebrating. While we can't change difficult situations of the past, we can work together to better understand and resolve challenges in your life. By applying complementary therapy approaches and techniques, we will unearth long-standing behavior patterns or negative perceptions that may be holding you back from experiencing a more fulfilling and meaningful life.

If you're looking for extra support and guidance through a challenging situation or you're just ready to move in a new direction in your life, I look forward to working with you to achieve your goals. Today you are one step closer to a new you where you feel empowered and on a positive path to growth and well-being.
