Dr. Belinda Richardson is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist specializing in individual, couples and family therapy, who maintains a private practice in the San Antonio, Texas area.
Dr. Richardson has almost 20 years of experience as a marriage and family therapist. She is a graduate of the Marriage and Family Therapy Program at Abilene Christian University in Abilene, TX , as well as a graduate of the Child Development and Family Studies Department at Purdue University in Lafayette, IN. Dr. Richardson also has background as a mental health counselor. She specializes in Solution Focused and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, but is also trained in other models of therapy.
She is certified in several areas including Critical Incident Response, the PREPARE/ENRICH program and the Twogether in Texas program. Dr. Richardson currently serves as a private practitioner working with a broad spectrum of clients. Dr. Richardson is a retired Air Force Major, who has experience as a deployed service member. This gives her insight into what military families are experiencing when facing the challenges of a military life-style.
She is also an Adjunct Professor in the St Mary's University Marriage and Family Therapy Program in San Antonio, TX, where she supervises interns who are learning to be the Marriage and Family Therapists of the future.
